This page describes the cookies and similar technologies Vercilio uses, what each one does, and how you can control them. For everything else, see our Privacy Policy.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are used to make sites work, remember preferences, and produce aggregate analytics.
Strictly necessary cookies (no consent required): keep you signed in and let the service function. Includes the Clerk session cookie and the CSRF protection cookie set by our hosting layer.
Functional cookies (no consent required where they only store your own preferences): remember your theme (light/dark), your language choice, and your selected AI model.
Analytics cookies (consent required where local cookie law applies): aggregated and pseudonymized measurement of which pages are visited and how the product is used. Currently provided by Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization enabled.
__session, __client (Clerk): authentication. Strictly necessary. Session-bound.
vercilio.theme, vercilio.selectedModel, vercilio.reasoningEffort, vercilio.autoRouter, vercilio.webSearch (Vercilio): user preferences. Functional. Stored in localStorage rather than HTTP cookies; you can clear them from your browser settings.
_ga, _ga_<id> (Google Analytics): aggregated analytics. 13 months. You can opt out by browser extension (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by managing the analytics consent control on this page when applicable in your jurisdiction.
__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid (Stripe): fraud prevention during checkout. Strictly necessary when you visit a payment page.
Your browser lets you block or delete cookies (see your browser's help center). Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will stop the service from working.
In jurisdictions that require explicit consent for analytics cookies, we ask before placing them. If you change your mind, contact privacy@vercilio.ai and we will adjust your preference.
We honor browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a withdrawal of analytics consent. We do not separately honor the deprecated DNT header at this time.
When we add or remove a cookie, we update this page. Material changes are announced alongside Privacy Policy updates.
