Terms of Service

Vercilio is an AI workspace that lets you chat with leading conversational AI models and routes a share of every paid subscription to verified reforestation partners. We refer to the service throughout these terms as "Vercilio", "we", "us", or "the service". You — the account holder — are referred to as "you".

Vercilio is operated by the entity registered in France. Our principal contact for legal matters is legal@vercilio.ai.

You must be at least 16 years old to create a Vercilio account (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher). The service is not designed for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

If you are creating an account on behalf of a company, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that company to these terms.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@vercilio.ai immediately.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, that we reasonably believe are being used to abuse the service, or where we are required to do so by law.

You agree not to use Vercilio to: (a) generate content that infringes someone else's rights; (b) generate sexual content involving minors; (c) build illegal weapons, malware, or instructions to harm people; (d) produce content designed to harass, threaten, or defame an identifiable person; (e) automate spam, scraping, or large-scale abuse of the service; (f) try to extract, reverse-engineer, or impersonate our underlying model providers.

We may remove content that violates these rules and we may suspend accounts responsible for repeated or serious violations.

Vercilio gives you access to third-party AI models (such as those provided by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta, xAI, Mistral, DeepSeek, Cohere, Perplexity, and others). These models can be wrong, can make things up, and can produce outputs you wouldn't expect. You should not rely on a model output as a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise).

Some queries you send may be transmitted to the underlying model provider for them to generate a response. We pass them the message and any attachments you include; we do not share your billing information or your email.

Vercilio offers a free plan and paid subscriptions (Basic, Starter, Pro). Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. Each plan refreshes its credit allowance at the start of every billing cycle; unused credits do not roll over. One-time credit add-ons remain available until used.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (or its EU subsidiary as applicable). By paying you also agree to Stripe's terms of service. All prices are inclusive of applicable VAT where you are billed in EUR.

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your Settings page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access until then. We do not issue prorated refunds for the unused portion of a paid cycle except where required by law.

A portion of every paid subscription is allocated to verified reforestation work via Vercilio's partner programs (currently mangrove restoration in Brazil and Kenya and native-species planting in North America). The number of trees attributed to a payment is shown in your account.

The contribution is not a carbon offset and we make no carbon-neutrality claim. Trees are planted by our partners; we report aggregate counts based on partner reporting.

You retain all rights to the prompts you send and the responses you generate through Vercilio (subject to the underlying model providers' own terms about output ownership). We do not use your conversations to train AI models.

Vercilio's brand, name, design, and code are our intellectual property. You may not copy or reproduce them outside of the service without our written permission.

We try to keep Vercilio running 24/7 but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may make scheduled maintenance, urgent fixes, or other changes that briefly interrupt the service. We will not be liable for downtime that we did not cause through gross negligence.

We may add, remove, or modify features and model availability over time.

Vercilio is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, except where mandatory consumer protection law requires otherwise (in particular for consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or reputation.

You can close your account at any time from Settings → Security → Delete account. Doing so cancels any active subscription immediately and deletes your data.

We may terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, with reasonable notice where possible.

These terms are governed by French law. The competent courts of Paris, France will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules that grant a different competent jurisdiction.

Consumers in the European Union may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via the email on file at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
